Mulberry is the most exquisite silk that there is and, as is often the case, refinement goes hand in hand with daintiness and it doesn’t take much during the dyeing and combing for pieces of this wonderful fibre to slightly snap or ruffle up. At that point it’s not possible to sell it as tops.
